My warm weather is fading. The mornings are chilli now until the sun warms things up about lunchtime. Daylight savings ends tomorrow so it will be darker an hour earlier in the evenings. Autumn is a beautiful season with its changing colours and still days. Less light and warmth make me sad, but the change of seasons is inevitable, so, I am making the most of my indoor/outdoor spaces and soaking up the sunshine while I can. Eating breaky, lunch and working outside with my computer on my lap.
Feeling inspired to create as many cosy outside spaces as possible to take advantage of the best light and the warmest spots during the day. Dreaming of………

I have been searching for inspiration to improve a problem spot that is a very neglected courtyard outside the french doors of my bedroom. A tall rendered fence protects the outdoor space from the street which faces south and gets minimal direct sun. Shade loving plants seemed the obvious solution but the walls radiate too much heat in the summertime. All I really wish for is a large tree in the centre and some greenery around the edge. If anyone has some advice for my eternally black thumb I would love to hear it in the comments below……
